When looking to begin private labeling hair products, it is important to pick the perfect formulation for your brand, and formulations with toxic ingredients are bad for your customer base and your business.

Although sometimes a little more costly, private labeling hair care that is good for your customers is not only the ethical thing to do, but also the better business move.

Another thing you should consider when private labeling hair care products is you ideal customer base. There are many different types of hair from curly to strait and thin to thick. When selecting a private label hair care, consider who your customer base will be and what ingredients would benefit your customer’s hair type the most.

When looking to market your product to individuals with dry and/or curly hair for example consider:

  • Shea Butter

  • Coconut Oil

Both of these ingredients have been researched and found they improve moisture retention (Source).

If you are looking to create a product for those with dry scalp consider tea tree oil as an ingredient in your private label hair care.
